The WMATA Close Call Program Report 2013-2024 describes the results of the WMATA Close Call Program and its role in improving safety in WMATA operations. During the period covered in this report, 170 Metrorail and 103 Metro bus reports were received from WMATA employees. The number of reports received touched a wide range of contributing factors and resulted in the development of 180 preventive safety actions (PrSAs) of which 166 have been implemented to date.

During the period covered in this report, the program received 151 reports from WMATA employees. The number of reports received touched a wide range of contributing factors and resulted in the development of 118 preventive safety actions (PrSAs) of which 99 have been implemented to date.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is a document written for the specific site of WMATA to describe the purpose and administrative structure of the Close Call Reporting Program. The MOU defines the roles and responsibilities of all parties (WMATA, ATU L-689, IBT L-922, OPEIU Local 2, and BTS).
